PS This is my favourite miner variant so far and i’ve experimented with a fair few. on October 3rd, 2020. Adding a Thread of Hope with a very large radius to pick up crucial nodes.Main Harvest Changes: - Many chaos nodes on the skill tree \u0026 in cluster jewels have been altered. Thankfully, mines (and Saboteur) can provide that. so if you want to play some unorthodox way to utilize toxic rain, snake chaos damage and all this stuff definitely try out the toxic rain miner is worth. Pods can stack, so area of effect is somewhat important. Toxic Rain: Toxic Rain shoots out a base 5 arrows (pods). Allowing us to pick up several powerful nodes, most notably the entire Potency of Will cluster. I’d recommend Dash linked to Second Wind Support for mobility, as well – though Flame Dash works just fine if you prefer that. (after playing with PoB and being less lazy the bow gems is a prefix and the extra arrow is a suffix so the first question still intrigues me :) ) As you get more arrows, they get spread further away from the center, meaning to actually use the extra pods for single target scaling you need a fairly monstrous amount of AoE. Attack speed is massively important in terms of DPS and enjoyment. What’s the point of playing saboteur when you can play trickster and scale the dot even higher and get ghost shrouds. A phenomenal league starter that can tackle all content on a budget. Depending on gear, however, there are a number of different link setups that I prefer for various states of progression of the build. The spore pods explode after a delay, releasing toxic ground that deals chaos damage over time and slows enemy movement speed . They also gain added layers of defense to their evasion and energy shield. It is well-suited for Shadows that deal damage over time, including from poison. Recovery: With flasks up, we sit at a comfortable 45k Evasion to cap our QOTF, and 50/75 dodge/spell dodge. I’m mainly asking because I have a thicket bow with that modifier locked into it from heist drops and wondered whether alteration spamming for +2 to socketed bow gems would be a good option or would that affix be locking the other out? This is an Icicle mine build that let's you melt down everything from a safe distance. Shadow is a rogue/assassin class archetype that specializes in killing enemies swiftly and silently by using Daggers or Claws. The Trickster is a hybrid class that mixes high speed, maneuverability, and slippery defenses. For single-target, however, they are only relevant if you can get quite a bit of AOE, so you might not feel a dps increase. That said, the changes to the Saboteur version are relatively minimal, with a swap from Explosives Expert to Demolitions Specialist being all that changes. Very nice build mate, enjoying it a lot so far, simple and strong, thanks! No uniques required, can be done in SSF and on a budget. The damage is pretty crazy and that toxic rain is so viable as a miner. The tree you have by early mapping should look something like this. Silverbranch is an excellent leveling unique if you’re looking for one to use, and the upgraded version Silverbough can even be alright in the endgame, if you can get one with 5 or 6-linked sockets. This has resulted in a slight DPS loss but most has been made up with optimizations to the skill tree and Cluster Jewels.Cluster Tree Changes: - Method to Madness \u0026 a jewel socket have been dropped. Toxic Rain is a bow attack skill where the user fires multiple arrows in the air, which land and drop spores, dealing chaos damage. Made a few more changes to the build, now farms awakener 8 without any issue (other than my own horrible misplays). This is an example of a good early leveling passive tree. I didn’t find any real use for a second six link in the build, so I didn’t bother. This character is likely one of the strongest league-start builds I’ve got in my arsenal, since as far as requirements to get it off the ground all you really need is a handful of solid generic Rare items and a 6-linked bow with “+2 to Level of Socketed Bow Gems”, which is extremely easy to farm yourself or buy your way into early on in a trade league, as I’ll detail later. Still worthwhile for the clear, though, I’d say. I really want to try it. This is a massive DPS loss, and means that you need to accurately time your detonations in order to properly output good DPS, rather than mediocre or low DPS. Toxic Rain is a very powerful, surprisingly complex, and well-rounded skill. Generally, however, it is used in a ‘self-attack’ setup, for lack of a better term, perhaps alongside Mirage Archer Support for a bit of extra coverage and automation. More detail on the ascendancy choices can be found on the Passive Tree page, along with pantheon choices. One thing worth mentioning is that Path of Building does not seem to understand that mines don’t care about attack speed, so it judges DPS as if our attack speed mattered. The passive trees are all contained within this Path of Building link. Search for keyword or character class (Marauder, Duelist, Ranger, Shadow, Witch, Templar, Scion) and find the information you need for your build. For leveling trees, check the Leveling section of the guide below. The build’s itemization is covered in depth on the gear page. If you like this guide or have any questions related to it, be sure to check out my stream where I’m live almost every day. The fungus have an ideal habitat to spread and grow at the final growth site for hellebore plants and if left untreated the spores will remain for many years. This has a few implications – firstly, we want as much damage out of a single pod as possible, which means that scaling duration in order to delay the pod’s explosion and keep the vines active gives us additional damage from each shot, translating into single target damage. This is where it’s worth getting into how Blastchain Mine Support works – this skill gem is the support gem used to turn Toxic Rain into a mine skill in the first place, and it also determines the optimal playstyle for single-target ramping damage. Those vines, and the damage over time that they deal, are what we will focus on in this build. One thing worth mentioning, however, before you commit to putting this build together or even reading much further into the guide – you will need to learn to curb your reflex to spam the Detonate Mines key, as given we use Blastchain Mine Support and cannot use High-Impact Mine Support, spamming Detonate will cost you a lot of damage. With 3.13 saboteur nerfs, why do you consider Demolitions Specialist as a better option over taking two small ascendancy points (trap and mine damage)? It has a damn good helping of everything, it just isn’t the king of anything either. Just wanna say thank you, this guide is so well put together. This is meaningful hit but the build will largely feel the same. In addition to the current page, which presents general information about the build and also contains a Leveling and FAQ section, we have the following pages: Hi! [3.13] Caustic Arrow / Toxic Rain Mines Trickster - From 40c to 100ex / All content viable Shadow - Mainskill: Toxic Rain - created by kucjlopo2d quick question, does the explicit on a bow that specifies that bow attacks fire an additional arrow have any value here? - Swapped in alternative quality gems for Toxic Rain and Dash. The Saboteur specializes in traps and mines to greatly enhance their utility. Losing a bit of movement speed, spell dodge chance and damage over time. Focus on getting Life rolls on gear wherever possible, prioritize movement speed on your boots (if you can get a Wanderlust, all the better) and try your best to cap your elemental resistances, particularly as you reach past Act 5. Toxic Rain additional arrow quality is really good. I started this league with a Caustic Arrow / Toxic Rain Trickster Miner build as my initial SSF farmer, and it was one of the best starters I’ve ever used. ASD - 104 Toxic Turbulence Acropora - Aqua SD Live Coral Frag ... Live RNF Purple Rain Acropora SPS Coral Frag (Saltwater) $59.95 + shipping. The Shadow is proficient with Dexterity and Intelligence skills, and fights with daggers and claws. Path of Building link - https://pastebin.com/rqhcKTAvToxic Rain mines should still be quite powerful next league. Shadow will later ascend and choose one of three paths: While your upfront DPS may seem a little bit low, Toxic Rain is a perfect Skill for applying multiple Poison stacks.
On 17/09/2020 at 4:03 AM, Lusputo said, Thank’s for the answer and btw this is a really beautifull guide all the picture etc it makes the guide very nice to read. On kill effects generally don’t work with mines, however there is a little strange quirk here – damage over time kills are always attributed to the player, so despite the Toxic Rain kills being mine kills they still get attributed to you. When you get a 4-link, throw in Void Manipulation Support until you’re high enough level to switch it to Vicious Projectiles Support. Other Tree Changes: - A Thread of Hope unique jewel with a very large radius has been added. The new alternative quality gems are powerful buffs to the build. The class also possesses other utility bonuses like blind synergy, area of effect bonuses, regeneration and ailment immunities. - Flame Golem has been dropped for Enhance support in order to heavily extend Immortal Calls duration. He can deal strong critical strikes with weapons or spells. If you have the patience for it, you can stop in the Foothills in act 9 to farm the Imperial Legacy div cards to get your six link bow, and then alteration spam for +2 bow gems. If you’d prefer to use PoePlanner to glance at a passive tree, this is the softcore endgame version and this is the hardcore endgame version. Blastchain Mine Support gives a damage benefit to any individual mine based off of the number of mines which detonated before it in a detonation sequence, and any time you hit the detonation key, you instantly reset your sequence, thus losing all of the chaining damage you would have benefited from due to Blastchain Mine Support. The gear in this PoB is fairly generic stand-in gear, and can be swapped around between many of the options provided later on in this guide, but you can use it as a pretty standard measuring stick to judge your choices against should you want to edit anything – and please, feel free to do so! It is based on very high Attack Speed granted by the Quill Rain Bow, allowing you to stack a lot of Poison on enemies, which also spreads. Details about ASD - 104 Toxic Turbulence Acropora - Aqua SD Live Coral Frag. You don’t need to worry about attack speed once you’ve swapped to mines, as they don’t need any, and since we’re scaling the Damage over Time, the Physical and Elemental rolls on your bow will also be pretty irrelevant. The Shadow is proficient with Dexterity and Intelligence skills, and fights with daggers and claws. Using a Quill Rain is literally worse than using the starting bow from Twilight Strand that Ranger gets, do not use it – at least not with mines. Say do you think any of those alternate quality gems could benefit this build? The changes in Ritual 3.13 have nerfed this build somewhat, and have lead to Trickster being a very competitive option. One of the rather nice things about Toxic Rain mines is how early you can begin using it – while you’ll want to start with Caustic Arrow linked to Lesser Poison Support and Mirage Archer Support early on, keep an eye out for items with Blue-Green-Green sockets linked, as at level 12 you’ll be able to swap into Toxic Rain, Blastchain Mine Support, and Swift Assembly Support. Early tools that help with boss DPS include a self-cast Despair and Withering Step linked to Second Wind Support in order to apply wither stacks. It’s even better if you can get these links into a Bow with “+1 to Socketed Bow Gems”, as this will provide a significant damage boost. Therefore, Onslaught and other on kill effects work just fine! The first major Hotfix for Ritual has been released by GGG in a restartless patch! Fairly popular among mine builds is the practice of binding your Detonate key to left click, but that is something I do not recommend here. Before I get into the nitty-gritty details, a quick overview of the strengths, weaknesses, and requirements of the build. Thank you for watching, the support is always appreciated. $15.50 + shipping. Consider subscribing for more content just like this! For single target, Ball Lightning mines will beat it by a bit, for clear Icicle Mine or Arc mines can equal or surpass it – but as an all around package, I wouldn’t say anything really beats Toxic Rain mines, in my view. Keep identifying bows as you level and if you ever get the opportunity to switch to one with +1/+2 to socketed bow gems you’ll want to do that – however, you do need to have your Toxic Rain links in the bow in order to take advantage of it, so try to conserve Jeweller's Orbs and Orb of Fusings where possible to fix bows with good rolls that drop with the wrong sockets. SC trade, HC trade and Solo Self-found both SC and HC – I generally try to make builds that have well-rounded options for approaching the game from any of these angles, but my preference for tankier, higher single-target builds does shine through in what I make. We go over all of the gem links this build uses in the end-game on our Gem Link page. ASD - 108 Gold Miner Acropora - Aqua SD Live Coral Frag. Another couple of mechanics worth briefly touching on specific to the scaling of Toxic Rain are the potency of Area of Effect, Duration, and projectile count on single-target damage. Your early 4-link will look something like this: Toxic Rain If you are comfortable with the degeneration on your life, or if you prioritize regen early from the labyrinth, use a Blood Rage while clearing to get some extra damage from frenzies. {{shareLink}}. The Shadow's Ascendancy classes are Assassin, Saboteur, and Trickster. As far as extra arrows are concerned, they are never detrimental, they will always at least help your clear. Thanks. Welcome to our list of Shadow builds for the Ritual league of Path of Exile (3.13). 3 Toxic Rain Miner Trickster. This results in a solid damage increase. What is your reason for deleting this comment? - Wind Dancer has also been allocated to further improve our defenses.#PathofExile #Guide #EchoesoftheAtlas These vines do damage over time and vanish when the pod explodes, dealing a combination of Physical and Chaos damage with the explosion. A phenomenal league starter that can tackle all content on a budget. Hello nice guide here, i was just wondering. Direct link: As far as strengths and weaknesses, I wouldn’t say this character has any defined weaknesses, but rather that it is fairly strong across the board without being exceptional in any one area. The 3.13.0 expansion, the Echoes of the Atlas, launches in less than a day! Thanks for reading the guide, I hope you crush your foes under the smothering weight of a thousand grasping vines. The Shadow's Ascendancy classes are Assassin, Saboteur, and Trickster. Other than that, nothing really requires changing, as the buff to Bomb Specialist means that AoE at high Blastchain Sequences is almost the same as before. Some life in other places has been dropped. This sequencing is really only relevant against bosses and perhaps particularly tough rare monsters, but the DPS increase is substantial enough that it is worth learning the technique. ((After going back and being less blind I have read in the guide about additional arrows, if i have 3 ascensions on the build would the extra arrow be worth it or should I only bother once the 4th ascension is acquired?)) The spores are mainly spread by water, wind and wind-blown rain. Use this drop-down menu to access different variants of the passive tree depending on what you’re after. One thing you absolutely do not want to do is use a Quill Rain – the attack speed on this bow will do nothing for you, and you will still suffer the penalty. 9 Fire Trap Saboteur Build. Details on the Ascendancy page. Yep! - Changes to curses shouldn't heavily impact Witchfire Brew. this one just really feels smooth to play and impactful especially when you get the det chain just right (if you even hang around to see the hp bar drop that is) many thanks for sharing it :)), Edited by POEisBae If you have any other questions about leveling or the build in general, feel free to ask, either here or on my stream ! - Constitution, an additional jewel socket and Exceptional Performance have all been added. - Expanded our second cluster jewel setup to include additional medium and small cluster jewels. Toxic Rain mines are auto-targeting, and have a significantly long range, so the ideal playstyle for clearing trash while mapping involves generally throwing the mines at your feet or just ahead of you and detonating as you go, allowing the mines to target packs for you so you can focus on dodging and pathing. This really only provides some minor stats from the small travel node and a Hinder, but it is the most useful option from Uber lab. Run an Anomalous CWDT to maximize this. Mines essentially allow you to short-circuit the requirement for attack speed entirely, replacing it with Mine Throwing Speed, which is innately quite quick – and also allow you to pre-stack your damage, causing massive amounts of pods in a short time and allowing for intense overlapping damage. Lastly, additional arrows means additional pods, which means additional vines – however, this last one does have a caveat. 11m left. Check out our top recommended league starters for PoE's 3.13 Ritual league. Instead, I bought much cheaper six socketed kintsugis and double corrupted them for good implicits. - Blood Rage has been added for consistent Frenzy Charge generation.OLD CHANGES:Heist Changes: Build is looking incredible. Interestingly enough, however, it lines up extremely well with a mine playstyle, as the strengths of Toxic Rain itself as well as the strengths of the miner archetype complement each other very well. I’m Octavian, I’ve been playing Path of Exile since Warbands league (back in 2015) with more than 11,000 hours logged so far and I’ve jumped around to pretty much every game-mode the game offers. Path of Building (Fork): https://pastebin.com/3pw8Luv4Last Updated: 1/22NOTE: This build has been updated for 3.13!The guides now use the PoB Community Fork! I’ve also provided a “visual tutorial” (below) on how to swap between different passive trees within Path of Building, so you can check out the HC, SC, and leveling versions of the build’s passive trees. This makes the DPS numbers inaccurate. Toxic Rain Mines Saboteur Build Guide (PoE Ritual 3.13), Toxic Rain Mines Saboteur Passive Skill Tree & Gem Links, Toxic Rain Mines Saboteur Ascendancy, Bandits, and Pantheon Powers, Toxic Rain Mines Saboteur Gear, Jewels, & Flasks. You’ll want to socket in Summon Skitterbots once you obtain it in Act 2, but I would wait on Malevolence until you have some Mana regen together on gear and the passive tree to make having a smaller Mana pool more comfortable. I’ve edited a Bismuth Flask to simulate the attack speed our Mine Throwing Speed would be roughly equivalent to. It deals damage in three phases; arrows hit enemies when they land applying Poison, then Pods deal damage over time in a small radius and after they explode dealing AoE … Withering applies additional debuffs is also really really solid. Saboteur is still a great choice if you value the additional AoE and Throw speed from the Ascendancy for clear, but if single-target is your priority I believe Trickster outperforms it. Path of Exile Builds or POE Builds indexes builds from the web and provides structured build data and resources for Budget builds. Enjoy the guide! Mess around with the build, as every build is just a template. Seller 100% positive. If you just want a quick cheat sheet to look over though, I suggest glancing through this image gallery which has references for low budget, big budget, and massive budget versions of gear in each item slot.
